If the cursor and audio are not synched together, or the cursor on the score is arriving earlier or later than the Audio, you need to adjust Audio Latency.
When connecting wireless speakers, sound is always delivered late. This introduces some latency which is annoying (cursor might be late or your recordings desynchronized).
Since version 5, Metronaut automatically detect and correct this latency for you so you don't need to worry. However depending on your Audio connection, this detection can be flawed but can be manually corrected.
Check the corresponding section based on your output Audio device:
I am using headsets or headphones
If you are using Headsets or headphones (as opposed to speakers) Metronaut will be unable to automatically detect the latency. You need to adjust this automatically from Expert Settings in the Volume section of any sheet music screen.
If the cursor is arriving earlier than the Audio, start by increasing the latency by +/- buttons until together. This latency will be saved and recalled everytime you use the same device.
I am using Bluetooth or Airplay Speakers
Sometimes our automatic latency detection fails but you can adjust the latency from Expert Settings in the Volume section of any sheet music screen.
If the cursor is arriving earlier than the Audio, start by increasing the latency by +/- buttons until together. This latency will be saved and recalled everytime you use the same device.
I am using Internal Speakers or Wired Speakers
Please Contact us by indicating the piece name and if possible the type of audio output being used.
Note: When adjusting Latency, make sure your Bluetooth device stays connected.
