How to change sheet music scrolling and page-turn mode in Metronaut

Metronaut offers two sheet music scrolling modes, so you can choose how the score moves while you play.

Change the scrolling mode

1. Open a piece of sheet music in Metronaut.

2. Open Tools (top-right button).

3. Select Display.

4. Under Scroll, choose one of the following:

   • Page: Metronaut automatically turns the score page during playback. As you approach the end of a page, part of the next page appears to help you anticipate what comes next.

   • Continuous: The score scrolls smoothly as playback follows your current position.

5. Close the menu. Your selection is saved automatically for future performances.

How Page mode works

Page mode adapts each page to the available screen space, including the Performance toolbar and the optional Piano display. During playback, Metronaut progressively reveals the next part of the score before completing the page turn.

When playback is paused, you can scroll freely through the sheet music. Actions such as Rewind still move the score to the relevant position.

Default mode for pianists

Page mode is the default for users whose selected instrument is Piano. Once you manually choose Page or Continuous mode, Metronaut remembers your preference.

Using loops

Loop playback temporarily uses Continuous scrolling to keep the repeated section visible. When you leave Loop mode, Metronaut returns to your saved scrolling preference.

If the page layout does not match your screen after changing orientation or opening the Piano display, wait briefly while Metronaut readjusts the sheet music.
