Turn on AI Feedback in Metronaut for instant visual feedback and scoring/XP. It works with Fixed, Wait and Tempo AI.
AI Feedback helps you review your playing as you practice. It shows your pitch precision as well as rhythmic placement in real-time as you play. It also works on acoustic Piano 🎹!

Turn AI Feedback on or off
- Open a piece and tap or click Tempo in the score toolbar.
- Choose your practice mode under Metronaut’s reaction.
- Turn the AI Feedback switch on to enable visual feedback and scoring/XP, or off to disable them.
- Close the panel and press Play.
Is AI Feedback a separate practice mode?
AI Feedback is now a separate switch. Your mode controls how Metronaut reacts to your playing; AI Feedback controls visual feedback and scoring. You can use it with any of the three modes.
For example, choose Fixed with AI Feedback to practice with accompaniment at a selected tempo, or Wait with AI Feedback to work through the notes without accompaniment.
What about pitch, rhythm and XP?
AI Feedback shows visual information about pitch and rhythm precision while you play and enables scoring and experience points (XP). Turn it on with the mode you want to use. For the way XP relates to progress and leaderboards, see Leagues, Streaks and Ranks.
Where is Feedback AI?
Some older instructions call this feature Feedback AI or present it as a mode. In the current interface, look for the AI Feedback switch in Tempo.
AI Feedback is not responding to my playing
Check that the switch is on and that Metronaut is receiving your playing through your microphone or MIDI instrument. Follow the input troubleshooting guide if it still does not respond.
