Yes! Starting version 7.0.0, you can connect any digital instrument to Metronaut using Bluetooth or USB Cable and enjoy all features including our unique feedback and smart tempo modes and recording features!
Metronaut supports all Digital Instruments using the MIDI protocol. You can connect all digital pianos (including Silent Pianos) and use all Metronaut features. Depending on your instrument you might need a specific adapter to communicate with Metronaut. Contact our Customer Service if you need help or advice.
The first time you open a music sheet, Metronaut asks you whether you prefer using an Acoustic or MIDI instrument. Connecting your digital instrument is as simple as following the App in two single steps:
- A new screen will list all discovered Digital Instruments. If your MIDI instrument is using Bluetooth, you should allow Metronaut to search for such devices here.
- When you see your instrument in the list, just tap on it and a check mark will indicated connection! And you're done!
After you connect to your instrument, Metronaut will try to maintain the connection and re-connect every time you use the App. If for some reason your instrument gets connected you will see an appropriate message.
You can change or re-configure MIDI connections at any time either from the Account tab or from the Tools (top-right) and "Audio" section of every music sheet.
You can de-select a connection to switch back to acoustic instrument (microphone).
